National Hunting League Names Briggs Newest Member

At about 10:00 AM Saturday morning a deer makes a deadly mistake by running right in front of the newest master shooter "Briggs Kellogg" who acted quickly and accurately in his first time ever shot of a deer in wildlife. Excitement rang out for miles as he realized he had knocked it down in one shot. A cry of "YEAHHHH"... could be heard all around signaling to all other deer around to watch out for that strikingly handsome orange wearing "Man" of great aiming talent. It is said that the deer hung warning signs throughout all the land telling them to watch out for the "young beast" who is a quick shot and to this very day the deer still speak about this unknown wonder who shot young Billy Buck Jr. gone in one shot.

Big Band Sounds!!

We have just had our first band concert of this year. I am playing the French Horn for regular band and the trumpet for Jazz Band. Mr Johnson is our band teacher and he is awesome! We played some fun songs, but the best part of the whole night was spending time with my friends. My mom said she could tell the progress we have made these last couple of years. Mr Johnson had all three grades at this concert, ours played last and my mom said we were the best. This last summer I got a phone call to let me know that the band audition that we tried out for in 7th grade we got it, we are actually the only middle school band (in the state of Nebraska) to make it to this Conference. We were selected to perform at the 2008 NMEA In-Service Conference/Clinic to be held in Lincoln Nebraska on November 20-22, 2008. The acceptance letter said "congratulations on your acceptance to perform at the 2008 NMEA Conference/Clinic. The heart of a convention of music educators is the performing groups and the music they share with those in attendance.
Mr Johnson was so proud of his "little antlers" and their accomplishment!! Me too!!
The pictures aren't the best... but see if you can see me !!

LOOK WHAT I DID!!

School this year has been great so far. I am on the Foot ball team, I got accepted to participate in the Show Choir and I'm trying out for All State Band Competition this year. It's been challenging, but a lot of fun too. My plan is to play in the Jazz Band and my goal is to be on the Honor Roll each and every semester this year, which would make for 3 years of being on the Honor Roll. My mid-term grades were excellent and so I'm on my way!! Here is my latest work of art. Notice the detail!!!!!
See the spulpture I'm most proud of...

...Coolest Kellogg...

A Little About ME
My name is Briggs and I'm 13 years old. I'm in 8th grade at the middle school here where I live. I enjoy doing many sports, mainly baseball, wrestling football. This spring I plan to go out for track, it should be interesting!! I also am into music and enjoy show choir. This last year I played in the regular band and also jazz band. It was a lot of fun and I plan to do it again this year. I play the trumpet and also the French Horn, but at home I play the drums and guitar and a tiny bit of piano. You could say that I like to play music with different instruments... trying to find the one I like best.
Show choir is a really fun interest that I found this last year. We have an awesome show choir!! To let you know how awesome it was... we placed 2nd in a competition of about 30 schools, and our rivals placed 1st. Not bad. I auditioned for several solos that I ended up getting in show choir and in regular choir. This year was my favorite year in Middle School so far, lets see what this next year is like.
